Janurary 20th, 2010: Day #12- Workday
January 20th. Day 12. I figured out what day in the season is; utilizing a calendar and counting on my fingers.
Public relations continued creating our awesome Trading Card idea, and we finished up taking Mug shots of the team. Just one problem: Some of the people on the team are just too tall. Solution: We go and edit the pictures in Photoshop. It’s a pain, but it’s much easier than telling the person they have to retake their picture. Oh yeah, we got through making everyone (Mr. Ritter included) stand on a single stool before Yinong discovered standing on two stools. Sean Boeck and his team starting working on getting the robot up on the tower, via hanging mechanisms. I really wanna see the final product; it’s gonna be a winch that can lift me-and-a-half-of-me. Sheila began learning how to animate, in order to compete in next year’s Safety Award. Programming began to program the pneumatics compressor so it opens and closes. Jeff worked on pulling back the kicker mechanism, using CAD and a variety of pens, pencils, and paper.
It’s been a while since Kick-off, and the season is starting to roll away fast. I just hope we’re all on board before it gets away.
