Janurary 23th, 2010: Day #15- Workday/ Team Bonding
“Why did I just hear a lot of screaming and then a popping noise??” – Ashwyn Sharma
January 23rd. Day 15. It’s been a fortnight since the competition started. Yes, I’ve been waiting until now just to use the word “fortnight.” Anyways, it’s a Saturday, and I got to robotics late. No, it wasn’t like last week when I slept in. It was because Friday night/Saturday morning I was skiing! Public Relations started taking pictures of the mentors and creating their trading cards. David, using the new logo, redesigned the website so it looks more styled. Sean Weaver worked on drafting the Pit on Inventor. Sheila worked on creating banners for the associate teams. Sean Boeck, the other Sean, worked on designing and improving a mechanism for suspending the robot. Jeff designed a new cocking mechanism for the kicker. It works, as he put it [Censored incase of opposing team spies]. Nathan drew out, on the floor of course, the maximum dimensions of the robot, so we can check before competitions. Programming is working on, of course, programming. More specifically, they are working on the autonomous mode of the robot, and updating the system.
And, as a bonus today, Ashwyn and Mr. Ritter let us play basketball after the day was done! We had so much fun, and it was a close game too.
