Where we started

Our team was founded in 2008 by Dan Ritter. The Blue Valley CAPS (Center for Advanced Professional Studies) program supports us by generously offering resources for us to build our robots. We know our silver cowboy hats make us stand out, but it’s our actions while wearing that hat that makes us stand out as a FRC Robotics team.

Our Mentors

At Metal Mustang Robotics, we are incredibly fortunate to have mentors to guide us on every step of the way. Our mentors Ron Gier, Kali Clark, Brian Clark, Dave Harder, and our team coach Carrie Powell voluntarily take time out of their day to help guide our team.

If you would like to mentor our team, please reach out to our Coach Carrie Powell at bvcapsrobotics@gmail.com

Throughout STEM week, we posted easy and fun STEM-related activities each day on our social media pages. We hosted a Remake Learning Days KC camp during the pandemic. 2410 hosted both virtual and in-person camps.

By hosting these activities, we were able to create an engaging educational STEM-heavy experience for youth in our community.

Additionally, 2410 hosted a fun, themed STEM day camp for students in grades 3-5 during the school district’s winter break. View the pictures and more information on the “Photo Gallery” page of our website!
